WINDWARD DEVELOPMENT

Windward Development LLC is a Portland Maine-based firm involved in commercial and residential real estate development. Its principal, Edward Rowe, is a 1983 graduate of the University of Maine at Orono, with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He has been active in coaching youth sports and leading the cub scouts in South Portland when his children were younger. He is a member of The First Congregational Church at Meeting House Hill and the Portland Museum of Art. He enjoys racing various sailboats on Casco Bay among other activities.

 

Windward Development LLC owns or has developed over 50,000 square feet of space. Most recently we completed a complex dental practice space, which involved substantial underground electrical and plumbing work. We work with leading architects, engineers and contractors in the area. We believe every building is a work of art, that evokes a certain feeling from an observer or occupant. With that in mind, we seek to build buildings we like to look at. Our current focus is a partnership on a 43-unit residential development in South Portland, called Meeting House Hill Park.  Check out our pipeline for other work we are undertaking.
